Virgin Radio Anthems launched on 21st December 2018 with sister station Virgin Chilled. It's one of three full-time spin-off radio stations from Virgin Radio UK. It shares the breakfast show that originates from Virgin Radio with high-profile radio presenter Chris Evans. This station has hourly news bulletins, accompanied with traffic and travel information for the UK. Virgin Radio Anthems is also available on DAB Digital Radio in most areas of the UK, on the D1 multiplex.

With alternative rock classics from the 70s, 80s and 90s, this station caters for everyone. It is heavily orientated on 80s rock, but they do play the odd gem from the 90s, which goes down very well with us. It is not playlist-led, and the presenters on the station are really good at what they do. In our opinion, it's a bit annoying that Chris Evans is their breakfast host, however costing as much as he does to have on air, they're probably getting their money's worth.
